Jacob Korn is a man with a sonic pallet that makes us go weak at knees. One of the figures heads of the excellent Uncanny Valley label, his take on electronic music spans form delicate deep house through to brazen techno tinged strompers. The common factor in his sound being a penchant for intricate details and off-kilter flair. As suspected his debut LP, You & Me, which was released earlier this month does not disappoint, end of year list material in the making. Pretty much every cut on the album warrants a mention but the title track patiruclary stands out for the way it beautifully straddles the line between heady peak time roller and intricately arranged builder. The presence of Thabia Xavier’s vocal and some melodic keys give it an irresistible edget that really works.Mr Korn, nicely done sir.
