Andy Stott is due to release his new LP at the end of the month and if the hauntingly beautiful album opener is anything to go by, it may be one of his best records yet. Stott has teamed up with his former piano teacher, Alison Skidmore, whose intricately processed vocal provides a spine tingling atmosphere on ‘Numb’, that coupled with Stott’s industrial tinged, textured rich production makes for an beautifully anthemic track. Doubt you’ll hear much better all week.
